About this Scholarship / Model
The Scholarship of Engagement (SoE) is the integrative institutionalization of CE emanating from engaged scholarship types. SoE is present when HEI staff reflect on, interrogate, study, write about, disseminate, and ultimately incorporate scholarship in all their activities at all levels of the institution (see section 2.5 in the SoE-SI Framework document).
This SoE framework provides the guidelines and process to institutionalize and decentralize the SoE in a systematic manner, so that it can also be monitored and evaluated in a qualitative and quantitative manner. Systemized monitoring and evaluation is what will ensure UWC’s footprint in social transformation and its ultimate progress and contribution towards Societal Impact (SI).
